Le Lunetier St-Eustache is looking for a laboratory technician to join its dynamic team!

The laboratory technician is responsible for various stages of the eyewear preparation process, primarily lens cutting and assembly. We are seeking an independent and detail-oriented individual to take charge of all laboratory-related tasks.

Main Tasks

  • Monitoring ongoing orders to ensure delivery timelines are met
  • Receiving orders: unboxing packages and envelopes
  • Verifying received references and organizing items into the appropriate trays
  • Unpacking lenses: comparing the invoice with the received items before sending them to the optician for lens analysis and invoice validation
  • Lens cutting and assembly after approval by the optician
  • Entering data into the cutting machine
  • Verifying the lens size relative to the frame and submitting it to the optician for a final compliance check
  • Cleaning glasses using the appropriate products after inspection by the optician
  • Final inspection after cleaning and choosing the appropriate eyeglass case
  • Verifying if multiple pairs of glasses belong to the same client and grouping them together
  • Organizing the tray before the final inspection by the optician, before the client is contacted by the secretary
  • Minor repairs including nose pads, tips, temples, nylon threads, and screws
  • Regular maintenance of the grinding wheel and residue tray
  • Maintenance of the tinting tray and tinting process
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area

Administration:

  • Invoice filing
  • Entering invoices into the management software
