The position of stylist advisor is the client’s first contact following the eye exam with the optometrist. Its role consists of presenting customers with different frames according to their personal/professional needs, their body shape and their ametropia. He/she must then provide a summary of the client’s needs to the optician to facilitate the choice of ophthalmic lenses. Depending on traffic, the stylist must welcome customers (from making appointments to answering customer questions by telephone or in their presence at the boutique).

As a stylist advisor, you will have to…

• Guest care :
  • Direct the customer according to the reason for their presence;
  • Announce the arrival of the client to the resource person;
  • Ensure customer support.
• Choice of mount:
  • Evaluate and identify the customer’s needs regarding the choice of frames according to the prescription;
  • Inform the customer about the different products available or current promotions so that they can make a choice according to their needs;
  • Communicate to the optician the important points discussed with the client so that the latter can analyze the needs for ophthalmic and/or contact lenses.
• Administration :
  • Enter or update customer contact information in the computer system;
  • Make optometry and optician appointments;
  • Answer the phone, screen calls;
  • Take messages and forward them to resource people;
  • Provide basic information on services offered by telephone or to people who come to the clinic;
  • Make sure to make customer calls, within the appropriate time frame, when their glasses are ready;
  • Make the various payments: examination, form, deposit or full payment of orders for glasses, contact lenses and various products;
  • Close the cash register at the end of the day: record the money in the cash register for deposit purposes.

• Have your high school diploma;
• Have the ability to work in a team and under pressure;
• Be customer oriented and enjoy working with the public;
• Have strong sales skills and learn easily;
• Be punctual, motivated, resourceful and autonomous.
